Directions:
Go to my website, www.paulkrieger.com > BI 121 > How to Succeed in
Anatomy & Physiology. Read the entire
document. Then, follow the
directions in point #1 where it asks you to go to the Òvark-learnÓ web
site. Discover what is your
learning style and read the suggestions for how you should study. Then, read the rest of ÒHow to Succeed
in Anatomy & PhysiologyÓ and make notes about the suggestions you find most
helpful to you. Then, begin to
write your paper. It should be
divided into four (4) parts:
1)
Describe
the results of the Òvark-learnÓ survey.
What type of learner are you?
Do you agree or disagree with this assessment? Why? Explain.
2)
What
study techniques were recommended by the Òvark-learnÓ site? Have you used these methods
before? Do you feel they might be
helpful? Why or why not?
3)
According
to the paper ÒHow to Succeed in Anatomy & PhysiologyÓ, what suggestions do
you feel will work best for you?
Why? Discover your greatest
study weakness and write a strategy about how you will conquer it to become a
better independent learner.
4)
Was
this exercise useful to you or not?
Do you have any strategies that were not suggested that have worked well
for you in the past? If so, what
were they?
Format:
Your paper must be typed, double-spaced and between 1.5
to 2 pages in
length. Do not go over 2
pages. The title for the paper,
ÒMy Learning Style and Study PlanÓ, should be centered on the top of the
page. In the header in the upper
right hand corner should be your name, BI 121, course day and time, and the
date. Put it in a smaller font
(about 9 or 10 pt.) than the rest of the paper. For the body of the paper do not use a font larger than 12
pt. Use standard margins.
Grading:
You
will be evaluated on the following:
1)
Using
proper format and correctly following directions.
2)
Proper
length (1.5 to 2 pages).
3)
Proper
English, grammar, and spelling.
(NOTE: You will NOT be graded on
whether or not you agree with the results of the Òvark-learnÓ survey. Feel free to express your opinion. This is encouraged.)
