My Year in China

I lived and taught in Beijing, China for one year from 1986-1987. This was my first official job after completing my undergraduate work.
I taught oral English and some Biology to high school students at Tsinghua High School.
In the evening, I also taught oral English to a small group of professors at Tsinghua University.
Tsinghua Univeristy is considered to be China's M.I.T.
During my stay I traveled to over 13 different cities and saw many different regions of China.

The photo at the right is a slogan for the ideal student called the "3 goods". It translates as "good health, good study habits, and good work". This photo was taken near the entrance to Tsinghua High School.
